The handmade organic sesame bar (Pasteli) with honey is the classic among all sesame bars. Sesamis sesame bar is the ancestor of the famous modern Greek “Pasteli” (bar made from sesame and honey).
As a tasty delicacy, it was already consumed in ancient times by children, soldiers and athletes. Herodotus mentioned the recipe in his scripts.
Inspired by the ancient Greek word sisamis (σησαμίς), which means a snack bar based on honey and sesame, this bar was named “Sesamis”.
The organic sesame bars are handmade and contain unpeeled sesame seeds that are soaked in filtered water overnight and largely ground.
