Description
Organic Pastitsio noodles made from Greek wheat semolina. The most popular of all pasta dishes from Greece is the Pastitsio. It can be described as the Greek national dish, only the moussaka could compete with it. The special about these noodles is that they are very thick compared to normal noodles.
However, the method of baking pasta or vegetables with meat is originally Greek. Recipes with similar ingredients can be found throughout the eastern Mediterranean.
The traditional pastitsio is prepared with minced meat, feta and a bechamel sauce. At the bottom come the Pastitsio noodles, then minced meat, feta and on top the béchamel sauce.
