Organic PDO Feta is made from fresh, pasteurised, organic Greek sheep’s and goat’s milk. After a maturing period of at least 60 days, the feta is stored in its natural brine or vacuum packed for the 200g package.
Feta goes with almost everything and can be used in many ways. It can be used fresh in salads, as a side dish for soups, stews, casseroles or for cheese platters. It can also be baked or used as a filling for pita.
The Menikio Organic Farm is located in the Prosotsani valley under the shadow of the Menikio mountain near Drama.
The location was chosen with care. Not only because of its rich and fertile soil, but also because of the constant breeze of fresh air. The biggest advantage of this farm, however, is that it is surrounded by 25 hectares of its own organically grown grass and food, where the sheep and goats can roam and graze freely, depending on the weather, sheltered in a safe environment.
