The organic Goat Cheese from Menikio is a white brine cheese made from organic goat’s milk from selected producers whose animals are fed with organic feed from Menikio Farm. It is matured for at least 60 days and then kept in its natural brine.
A cheese that goes back to a rich tradition, but also meets modern health standards and trends. Goat Cheese can be used fresh in salads, soups, stews, casseroles or on cheese platters. It can also be baked or used as a filling for pita.
The Menikio Organic Farm is located in the Prosotsani valley under the shadow of the Menikio mountain near Drama.
The location was chosen with care. Not only because of its rich and fertile soil, but also because of the constant breeze of fresh air. The biggest advantage of this farm, however, is that it is surrounded by 25 hectares of its own organically grown grass and food, where the sheep and goats can roam and graze freely, depending on the weather, sheltered in a safe environment.
